Insert excitement shriek here

For those who don't know, my mom is a middle school teacher (7th & 8th grade).  She received an email yesterday about grant money the school had for clubs and functions on campus.  My mom knew I was just discussing becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, and she comes up with the BRILLIANT idea to make a school club for stamping, scrapbooking, card making, paper crafts, etc!  Of course she would have ME come and basically run the club!  I'm going to be the brains behind the whole operation and run this gig!

I am so SO SO excited!  First, I will have a group to call "my own," I get to teach young girls about the FANTASTIC ways of scrapbooking and other paper crafts, and I'll basically be having a workshop/class every week!  The grant money will pay for supplies and the cost... and I get to be an actual demonstrator!

EEEEEEEE I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

pretty pretty card

Card we made at a Stampin' Up! workshop last week.  Not my design, but so stinkin' cute anyways! I have the other card floating around here somewhere... but I think Elijah took it and hid it from me. lol ;)  I'll post it when I find the card.

Toddler Mischief

I still need to add the journaling, but here it is anyway!

Officially admitted!

It's not like I was considered about being accepted to CSU San Bernardino... after all I'm guaranteed acceptance being a transfer student (ESPECIALLY since I'm transferring from one Cal State Univ to another!)  I got my email, though, and I've officially been accepted!  Hooray!  I just need to mail in my official transcripts and I'm good to go.  My major is English on a Creative Writing track.  I have to start fresh in the program, but I was going to in ANY program I REstarted.  I'm very excited about this whole new adventure!

Watch out English/Creative Writing program... here I come for Fall 09!

Hide the debit card!

I recorded the Creating Keepsakes paper crafting episode on QVC. I figured if I recorded it, I'd be less tempted to buy something. Of course everything just looks SOOO cool... quick, somebody hide the credit card before I try to go to qvc.com and order some junk I probably don't need.

But come on... that matting/mounting tool for PERFECT mounting looks WAY TOO COOL!!!!

Sweet Pea

I finally got a photo of this!  I finished this one a few days ago and had trouble getting a good picture.

I couldn't tell you all the papers in this page... just random things I have picked up over the past couple years and they just blended together nicely. :)  Although I do know the blue edge is some Bazzill color.
The "sweet pea" and pea pods are cut from the Cricut ("New Arrival" cart)
American Crafts white ric rac ribbon, Bazzill gingham ribbon, and some cheap Michaels blue ribbon. ;)
Heat embossing on the floral design on the left and bottom right
Me& My Big Ideas stickers
Stickles for accents!

Valentine's Day Card for the hubby :)

I'm pretty proud of myself and the way it turned out!  (1) I hardly ever make cards, so it is all new to me... and (2) I did it all out of scraps I had around the craft room!  Go me!  Scrap that stash!!!

Stop snowing!!!

GAH! I was all ready to go to Scrapbooking Boulevard for the Friday night crop. I had some pages sketched out, was getting my things together earlier, I called earlier today and put my name on the list... and here it is, 430... and what happens? It starts SNOWING... AGAIN!! Stop snowing! I was so excited to go tonight... but nooo it has to start snowing and is showing no signs of letting up!

Wouldn't you know it, too, when I check weather.com, it says "snow showers." That's almost worse than just consistent snow... last thing I want to do is drive on black ice that's going to freeze, get snowed on, freeze again, snow some more, freeze again... lovely.

Guess it is a night of scrapbooking in for me. :( *sniffle sniffle*

Oh, and I finally feel better from my cold... another reason I was excited to get out!

Stupid snow.

AJ thinks his brother is sooo funny

Enjoy this little video of AJ laughing at Elijah. And Elijah was trying to get him out of the Discovery Center play thing... I guess Eli likes AJ playing on the floor with him, instead.

I am SO excited about the way this one came out.  I LOVE these colors!  So cute!  It's baby boy, without looking SOO baby boy blue.

"Love Blooms" project

Designed by Richard Garay... this was a FUN project (even though I couldn't fold the paper hearts/flowers for the life of me... lol)  Richard is so creative!
