May is National Scrapbooking Month

And I have a goal.  It is a lofty goal... it may be impossible... but where will we go in life without setting goals for ourself?  No matter the challenge, it is important to set them!

My goal for National Scrapbooking Month is to make a page a day!  Each day I plan to make a scrapbook page and make attempts to "scrap my stash" of supplies.  Of course I'm sure I will use some new things, order new things... after all SU! has a great promotion for the month of May with designer paper (more to come on that later!).

I may be a little whacky... :)

Follow my goal for May on my blog!

The Battle of Sleep.

This whole week Elijah has put up a Battle of Sleep.  Nap time, bed time, it's cry cry cry.  You'd think we are torturing the boy with a nap and bed time.  Except last night.  He had his tumbling class yesterday, so by bedtime he was KNOCKD OUT.  That was my online night of no battle this week.

Some may think we are crazy, but long story short, Elijah usually sleeps in our bed (pretty consistently) since November.  It isn't a big deal... makes my life easier.  AJ is in the portacrib next to my bed, Eli is usually at the foot of our bed or in the middle.  Well, recently he started being WAY too noisy for AJ at bed time.  What worked to cure that?  Putting him back into his own bed.  This week on the other hand... who knows what has gotten into Elijah, but he just puts up a HUGE battle every time I've put him down!  I warn him, I discipline, and then he just cries.  Wait, you are almost 2 years old kid... I thought we were PAST the "cry it out" stage?!  He KNOWS it is bed time, we have a nice routine... what happened?!

As we speak, he is in his room screaming his head off.

I think I'm gonna go scream my head off now.  (Lets see how he likes it!)

Baby Face

Isn't he precious?  This is his 4 month old picture (Dec 08) -- sorry for the weird date/time stamp... I wasn't using my camera and it time stamped it on me!  ack!

"Nobody knows what a boy is worth,

You know your child is obsessed with this show when you have 45 episodes recorded on your DVR.

I think I have every episode and all the songs memorized!

Happy Easter

My favorite Easter card I made this season!  Using the cracked glass technique.  It is hard to see here, but the egg is "cracked" :)

Define Your Life, flip out mini book

I haven't added my photos yet, but wanted to share this with all you in BlogLand.  I used one sheet of 12x12 card stock for the base, I scored it at 6 in each way, creating four, 6 in squares, and then cut one side at 6 in to the middle (so there will be 3 score lines, and one cut), then fold it all in to make a mini book that flips out all ways!  Decorate to your hearts desire! :)

mini Easter Basket

My middle schoolers made this last week at our after school club.  Quick, simple, and cute!

And the best part... the flowers on the front SPIN!!!  This was a very cute project.  Class/Design from Richard Garay.

Some of the photos came out so-so... I was having some problems with lighting this morning!

Catching up on projects

Well I've been busy busy here!  I haven't had time to post some projects that I've worked on recently, some my own, some other people's.  Here they are!
This project was for the middle school girls' Scrappin & Stampin' after school club
Now I'm not sure of many of the products in here.  We needed some materials quick!  It's from Michael's and JoAnns, the cardstock is Paper Company and stamps are Studio G... that's about all I can tell you... the rest is unknown brands!

This was also for the after school club... again, a mishmash of products.  Patterned paper is Martha Stewarts crafts, CS is Paper Company, brads are JoAnns, and the stamps and ink is Stampin' Up!

And here's my little easter basket creation.  I used Chipboard and my Cricut (Doodlecharms cart.), Rebecca Ericson paper, and Stampin' Up! stamps and ink.
