Playtime... for Mama!

Once the kids were asleep last night, it was time for ME to play with some of my new stuff! Here is some of what I came up with...

Just a nice clean thank you card, with 2 of my favorite color combos of "Certainly Celery" and "So Saffron"!
All supplies Stampin' Up!:
Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Paper: Certainly Celery Designer Paper, So Saffron Designer Paper
Stamp set: Grateful Greetings, True Friend
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Punches: Scallop Edge, Eyelet Border, Small Oval, Scallop Oval
Accessories: Unibal white pen, dimensionals

I sponged the "Life is what happens..." twice with "Soft Suede" and "Melon Mambo." I used the "True Friend" stamp set for all flowers, and cut them out. On the "Rich Razzleberry" flowers, I stamped once, then did a second stamp without re-inking for the faded look.
All supplies Stampin' Up!:
Cardstock: Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, Whisper White
Pattern Paper: Razzleberry Lemonade
Stamps: Full of Life, True Friend
Ink: Soft Seude, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzlberry
Ribbon: Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot
Punch: Scallop Edge
Accessories: Dimensionals, sponges

The funny thing is I've had the "True Friend" stamp set for a while now, and just never really used it... now I like it! lol!

pages x3!!!

I "heart" scrapbooking... ;)

Ideas from a crafty mom...

Got kids?
Got scrapping leftovers?
How about a personal die cutter?

The last 2 weeks Elijah, AJ, and I have been learning about the following:

You can see how easy it is with the tools we already have lying around from our paper crafts! The Circle Cutter works perfect to create a circle shape, use your personal die cutter for the letters "red" and "circle", or the large letters A and number 1. (You can also use stencils for the large letters and numbers, or print off the letter from the computer, trace it onto your cardstock, and cut away!)

Here's some things I do with my leftover paper scraps and my die cutters...
I used my personal cutter to cut the "1" shape. You can also trace a big "1" and cut by hand. It was a perfect way to use up some red paper I had. (So the goal here was to grab the beans and place them on the paper ONE-by-ONE... but if you have kids... you can guess how the 2 year old viewed the project: grab them and dump them ALL on!)

AJ's version of the project. Same "1", except we used the baby friendly paste (mix flour & water until it is like an oatmeal consistency) and I helped him place goldfishes one-by-one.

Here we cut an apple in half, dipped it red paint, and checked out the cool, almost heart shape, the apple made when we "stamped" it on paper.

This helped reinforce the shape of the "1" (early literacy skill), and helped reinforce the circle shape. I used my Stampin' Up! 1 3/8" circle punch, and my Stampin' Up! 1 1/4" punch to create the circles from leftover cardstock and let Elijah glue the circles to the "1".

Here we used the "cookie cutter" (or playdoh shapes!) as a "stamp" and stamped the letter A and number 1

another card...

Mostly retired supplies, and I don't really have any actual "Sympathy" stamp sets (it's on my order form for the next round I'm putting in a few days!), so this is what I came up with for a sympathy card to send a family friend.

Details on the "Kiss Me" page

I used VersaMark on the background image with Baroque Motifs stamp, and on the right side, if you see it peaking out from behind the paper, is the same flourish stamp used with VersaMark and Dazzling Diamonds to make it sparkle. (I also added Dazzling Diamonds to the green pattern paper)

I made the "postcard" myself... just a 4x6 piece of cardstock, I sponged the edges with chocolate chip ink, then frayed the edges and sponged a little bit more to the edges once again. There is some sponging going on for the photo mounting too!

All supplies from Stampin' Up!, except the clover stamp:

Cardstock: Sage Shadow, Always Artichoke, Apricot Appeal, Whisper White

Pattern Paper: To the Nines Specialty

Stamps: Baroque Motifs, A little Somethin' (Retired), clovers (not SU!)

Ink: VersaMark, Chocolate Chip, StazOn in Jet Black, chocolate chip marker

Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds, 2-Way Glue Pen, Hemp Twine, Sponges, Dimensionals, Cutter Kit

I'm loving this page... I based it off the PageMaps sketch contest (http://www.pagemaps.com/blog.php?do=blog&id=67)

A few cards

Mostly used with retired paper, but the "Pun Fun" stamp set is still current! (I love this set!!)
