A COLD!
I have caught a COLD!! How terrible is that?! I was completely wiped last night and the night before from it, there was no way I could make a scrapbook page! I think tonight or tomorrow night I'll catch up though. I have to make up my pages that I've missed... I've done so well!!
I can't get over that though... I was doing so well for a while. And who knows WHERE I picked it up from. The grocery store? Target? Dane's 2nd bday party from Saturday? Aye yai yai!

new album!
I found this at Target. I was going to buy a "Modern" album from JoAnns.com (from American Crafts, I think.) Anyways, but I was being too lazy and didn't feel like paying shipping & handling (I'd rather pay S&H on something I'm buying from Stampin' Up!, not JoAnns! LOL!) But you know I'm impatient and can't even wait to order an album from my own company... nevertheless, I think this album is SUPER cute *AND* I got to customize it! Hooray! The part to the left of the brown ribbon was how it came standard, and the part to the right is what I have decorated so far. Still a work in progress... but I'm excited I found an album for all our family pages!

Yes, there IS a Day 3!
But, SORRY, you can't see it yet! (mwhaha!)

It's in my craft room right now lookin' all beautified and I'm totally loving it.
BUT, I'm entering it in the PageMaps 3rd Anniversary Contest... therefore I can't post it on my blog (or anywhere!) until June 1, when the winners are announced. There will be 5 winners... the contest ends May 24, winners will be notified May 28... so cross your fingers that maybe, JUST MAYBE I'll be a winner! We'll see... I've never entered a contest before. I'm very pleased with the way the page came out though. Whether win or lose, at least I love the page!
I WILL show you the PageMap sketch I'm using for the contest though. It's from the July 2006 archives. (www.pagemaps.com)

Day 2- "omg"
Page for May 2nd! :)
Two photos here, I think the first shows the texture a little better, especially in the title letters, and the second show the coloring better.
Journaling says...
"I couldn't believe I walked into the bathroom to find your HAND in the TOILET! I thought, 'Oh... my... gosh!" You looked at me like, 'What?' and resumed fishing for your ball!
4th of July, 2008"

Ready, Set, SCRAP!
Well, I was SO eager to post the DAY ONE of my Page a Day project that I didn't even wait until natural day light tomorrow. So here is the darker photos... and I'll repost it tomorrow or Sunday with better light. But I just HAD to share the first project :)
Edit to add a daytime photo of the pages here...
So a double page layout here... I guess that would be two pages? ;) Well if I get completely preoccupied with the Derby Party tomorrow and can't scrap, then I can use the excuse I made two pages the night before. LOL!
I love the travel-y, back to basics feel of this page. I wanted it to feel quick and have the "jotted down notes" idea. And I must admit, I was amazed at how hard it was to go BACK to basics and not go over the top with detailed journaling, extravagant layout idea, all that. It was actually a little challenge!
Enjoy!!
